Budget Bucket List

The lovely Katie from Gold Dust tagged me to do this post. It sounded fun and I thought why not! Money Supermarket are holding a competition to find out what's on your bucket list. If you enter you could win £1000 but if over 50 people enter, they will double the prize to £2000! That would help me cross a few things of my bucket list. Four runners up will also get £50. What are you waiting for? You can visit Money Supermarket to find out more details.

Budget Bucket List

My budget bucket list item is to renovate my garden. It would probably cost me over £1000 so it's not that budget friendly but it's more purse friendly than my extravagant option! We haven't got any spare money to do the garden at the moment. All of our wages disappears on the mortgage and the bills. My fiance and I moved into our house in November and although the garden is ok, it could still benefit with a make over. To be honest it's not much of a garden! It's made up of decking and a paved patio area but that's it! Both the fences and decking needs either redoing or painting and varnishing. The patio has big gaps between, perfect for weeds! Our big pet hate is the gravel at the side of the house and round the edge of the patio! It's so annoying and it gets everywhere! I would like it paved so it matches the patio. I also think the patio would benefit from having a small bedding area around it where we can plant flowers, bushes and have our very own vegetable patch! There's only so many plant pots you can have in one garden. We also really need a shed to house all our gardening equipment and I'm sure the fiance would love one! Most men seem obsessed with sheds. Currently, we have no garden furniture so since it's been sunny, I haven't been able to sunbathe as the decking and patio is just too hard to lie on.

Extravagant Bucket List

I have never shared this on my blog before so I was unsure whether to mention it now. However, this is one thing I would do if I had loads of money! My nephew, who is eighteen months old, has a brain tumour. We found out quite a few months ago, when he was about nine months old. I don't want to go into too many details as that is not what this post is about but the tumour has made him completely blind in both eyes and he is now registered blind at eighteen months old. It saddens me that he can't live him life as much as other children but he's doing amazingly well and we're all so proud of him. If I had lots of money, I would build him his very own sensory room with soft walls and floors so that he doesn't hurt himself. He attends a sensory room once a week and he absolutely loves it. He would be so happy with his very own that includes all his favourite toys and plays his favourite music. For obvious reasons, I cannot afford this. Sensory toys cost so much money alone and to make the walls and floors soft would cost a fortune. If he did have a sensory room, it would mean so much to him and all of us too. He would be able to play and explore in his own way while being safe. All children should have that right.
